Anyone any experience of LYRICA meds ... - Restless Legs Syn...
Anyone any experience of LYRICA meds ......???...please
I am on Pregabalin or Lyrica as it is also known. I take 600 mg a day. It is not a pain killer, but it helps to suppress pain. I had to build up the dose to where I am now. It took a little while to 'kick in', but now seems to be doing a good job. I still get pain but not as often of severe as I did before.
I hope that helps you.
I've just started it about a month ago, just of 75mg twice a day, so still in the build up stage. Hasn't done much yet to be honest, certainly hasn't stopped my pain but like I said very early days.
However if I miss a dose (even by like 2 hours) I get awful withdrawal symptoms!
Kentish_man and Loki.....when you talk about pain of RLS, what is that
like because I feel just the uncontrollable urge to keep moving my legs.
It's not very painful at all...except my legs and body get very tired.
I had pain in my legs from other illnesses but not RLS as a kid or before
my knee replacements...Chemo and Radiation...so I'm just wondering
about that...and if other's actually have pain with RLS...

Some people get pain with RLS, i get pain, i dont always get the creepy crawly type sensations, i get pain in my calf muscles, well it feels like the muscles, but it feels deeper.

My experience with pregabaline during the build up has been severe fatigue, it doesn't appear to be doing much yet (on 75mg x2 daily plus pramipexole) - previously tried an increase in pramipexole dose but it made me worse. If you read the meds leaflets you would never take them!

I, too do not think that RLS is "pain"
