This post is in reply to ' crazy legs' I think. I was OK on Ropinirole when I first started but , after the GP increased the dosage I began to hallucinate. At first I couldn't believe it was happening but , it was only when my Daughter , who is a Doctor herself , began getting concerned , that I must report it.
I was then put back onto Pramipexole , which works sometimes but produces horrid side effects.

7 months ago you said you suffered from ICD from over eating and excessive spending and were advised on how to get off it.
Why in the world are you still on it? Especially when you say it only works sometimes but produces horrid side effects. If you get off it there is every likelihood you will finally have your RLS controlled with gabapentin/pregabalin or a low dose opioid with few if any side effects and certainly not what you have on pramipexole.
If you want advice o how to come off it again and what to replace it with I will be glad to give it to your again.
Hi SueI am currently on a drug titration schedule for pramipexole and am currently only taking one tablet a night now which will cease alltogether this Friday. To ease the symptoms I am having to take co-codamol aswell at night.
I will be starting Gabapentin/pregabalin a week today.
It hasn't been an easy 7 months as I've been diagnosed with a chronic lung condition necessitating spells in hospital . Therefore the time to reduce the pramipexole had to be considered carefully.
Thanks again Sue for your offer of help. I really appreciate it.
I am so sorry about your lung condition and hope it is better now.
That's great that you have reduced down to 1 tablet, but I strongly advise you to cut the tablet in half and only reduce by that much for 2 reasons: that is the normal way to reduce and the last reductions are the hardest.
Thanks Sue. My lung condition is ongoing. I've recently had lots of blood tests , heart and lungs scans and in two weeks hopefully the people with the expertise will have some answers 🙏
