My daughter has been prescribed quetiapine for bpd but every time she takes this she has a terrible night with her legs, she doesn't have rls any other time only when she takes this medicine.Does anyone have any ideas on an alternative to this medicine before we phone the doctors.

The general view is that antidepressants aren't much good and that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is the best treatment.Mood stabilisers seem to be a better option.
Carbamezapine might be an option as some people with RLS find it doesn't trigger RLS. However- for some it does.
She can try it and see.
And tell her GP that it triggers RLS and report via Yellow Card Scheme.
She is clearly susceptible to RLS so do ensure her serum ferritin is above 100ųg, preferably 200ųg. Low serum ferritin can also cause depression and anxiety.
Get morning, fasting full iron bloods.
Raising serum ferritin will possibly improve her BPD as well.
