Being a last line of defense treatment for RLS, most here have probably continued using buprenorphine or some other form of opiod. I would think you may find a larger sample of reports concerning coming off buprenorphine on addiction recovery and/or pain management forums.

I don’t like being physically dependant in any medication , but without it my RLS is un bearable .. I don’t necessarily want to wean off it just curious if anyone ever has🤷‍♀️

We will all be dependent on our RLS meds.Getting off them will result in withdrawal symptoms, some worse than others.

Why do you want to reduce suboxone? Are the side effects too awful?

I don't know of anyone who has stopped Buprenorphine on this site. But I suggest you discuss a safe withdrawal schedule with your prescribing doctor.

The slower the better I would imagine.

What do you plan to take for your RLS in future?

I’m just curious if it’s possible , my dr speaks as though I’ll be on it for the rest of my life, just bothers me being physically dependant on any med I guess

Sadly, unless billions is spent on research and a 'cure', those with severe RLS will have to be on meds for life.I don't see any difference between taking meds for a serious disease like RLS and taking meds for my MS. Quite frankly, RLS has always caused me more suffering than my MS ( & I've had every possible serious MS symptom).

I think we're 'lulled' into thinking RLS is not a serious disease because of its name and the total lack of knowledge anongst most medical professionals.

I have been on Buprenorphine for years due to chronic pain. When I tried to stop the RLS was out of hand. I couldn’t sleep until I took it again. I tried pramipexole and it worked great, however I am worried about eventual augmentation. If take 1/4 mg daily I sleep great. It’s sort of a “the devil you know” situation here.
