Until I joined this group I never knew all this info about RLS was out there.I used to feel I was all alone when on the fourth day with no sleep at all I collapsed through exhaustion. My RLS had been going all that time.
Interestingly I don't know whether any sort of link exists but , I developed RLS at the same time as I acquired a TBI and subsequent epilepsy?
Have a good Friday everyone

Various studies have shown that RLS occurs more frequently in individuals with epilepsy than in the general population.
This recently published study also concludes:
"Refractory epilepsy and nocturnal seizures were strongly correlated with RLS in patients with epilepsy. RLS should be considered a predictable comorbidity in patients with epilepsy."
It may also be relevant that one type of drug which can be effective for RLS was originally developed as an anticonvulsant to help with seizures and certain types of epilepsy. It’s possible that other epilepsy medications may help. Very simply RLS can be seen as unwanted sensations and nerve activity (leg movements) which is not a million miles away from the massive brain activity associated with epileptic seizures.
