Did you try the clonazepam that SueJohnson suggested when the zopiclone stopped working? I know that she warned that it could make you drowsy during the day....

The trouble with most insomnia aids is that they're only supposed to be used for a short period. We're supposed to tackle whatever it is that's causing the insomnia.

I finally brought my own RLS symptoms under control: I have no difficulty in getting to sleep, but I still find myself waking up (say) five hours later and then struggling to get back to sleep. But that's unfortunately often an age thing. And then my grandmother used to swear that she lay awake for hours, but we could all hear her snoring! (Perhaps I'm the same??)
