Hello, I just got back from neurology. After testing my reflexes with little response he's decided to book me in for electromyography to see what's happening with the nerves ....which is a good step forward.
He mentioned all DA I said ...no ,he also mentioned amitriptoline but I explained this wasn't suitable.
He was suggesting some form of diazapam but I can't remember the name, however ,I've to continue reducing the pregabalin, have the nerve test and then he will review based upon any findings .
Has anyone had this investigation?
Thankyou.

According to WebMD "Needle electromyography and nerve conduction studies may be done if your health care provider sees signs of nerve problems like neuropathy."
EMG has been mentioned here a few times, but I didn't read anything here that I felt was particularly useful:
Hi, I had electromyography after test he said my feet were Dead When I i saw the consultant he said there's only drug or surgery I can offer you, So I explained to him
I control the problem with tsubo and moxibustion he had never heard of them🤔 To think the Chineses new about pain 3000 years ago😂
Hello....no depression, this went as soon as I stopped the gabapentin. Legs are awful currently 275mg pregabalin but wake after a couple of hours and need max strength ibrufen to take the edge off.
My tongue is on fire so indicative of either low b12 or low iron.
I've just bought the iron bisglycinate today and am starting this tonight to see if it makes a difference xx
