How do you take gabapentin if you dose is higher then 2100?

Take 600 mg 1 to 2 hours before bedtime as the peak plasma level is 2 hours. Then take 600 mg 4 hours before bedtime as it is not as well absorbed above 600 mg. Then take 600 mg 6 hours before bedtime and then 300 mg 8 hours before bedtime. Since this becomes ridiculous you should switch to pregabalin which can be taken in 1 dose 1 to 2 hours before bedtime. You can switch directly. The equivalent dose is 350 mg.

If you have been taking more than 600 mg in one dose you can take less gabapentin. For example if you take 900 mg in one dose you are really only taking the equivalent of 540 mg. If so let me know how much you are taking at one time and I can probably tell you how much to take in 600 mg doses.

If you take magnesium even in a multivitamin, don't take it within 3 hours of taking gabapentin (it is OK with pregabalin) as it will interfere with the absorption of gabapentin and don't take calcium within 2 hours for the same reason (not sure about pregabalin). If you have been that also may have reduced your effective dose.

I am currently taking 3X600 per day (using your schema) but will be adding 300 more (2100 total) sines I still have RLS symptoms

I would just add 100 mg more. That might be enough.

My GP prescribes 2 capsules X 3 times a day
