Pregablin

Hi, I have my review on Monday, the pregabalin only works at only over 300mg and I feel like I'm on a drug induced high !

What else is available in the UK please .

You've tried gabapentin before, and your doctor was only prepared to prescribe pregabalin for 3 months? Your doctor may not have seen NICE's recently updated guidance on pregabalin for RLS:

Have the side effects you experience on pregabalin eased over the 3 months? If you don't feel that you want to stay on pregabalin, or your doctor won't continue to prescribe despite the NICE guideline, a low dose opioid may work. Some doctors are reluctant to prescribe low dose opioids, but see this:

Buprenorphine has helped many RLS sufferers. Depending on where you are in the UK, your doctor may need a specialist to authorise or prescribe buprenorphine.

Initially he was concerned with the risk of addiction, but I don't feel I run the risk of addiction,however my symptoms appear to respond well Initially and then start to rage within a couple of months ....as is the case now.Thankyou for your advice . .

Did you try Dipyridamole which I suggested? What about opioids?

I haven't had my review yet, it's Monday, so I'm just reaching out for guidance as the NHS appear to be ill-informed. Thankyou I will ask about this .
