Pregabalin -mode of operation

I take 150mg per day (one dose at night) of pregabalin as a RLS "blocker".

I have read Professor Earley's (Harper college in USA) paper on dopamine receptors etc and the various parts of the brain and would be interesting to know how pregabalin "fits" with this story?

Thanks for listening

Why not try googling "pregabalin mechanism of action"?

Thank you for replying.

I tried to google as you suggested but despite 2 or 3 specific hits there was no mention of RLS or dopamine etc.

It was in connection will Professor Earley's paper specifically on RLS and dopamine receptors that I wanted to question.

Thanks again

I don't believe pregabalin targets dopamine receptors. It works very differently to dopamine agonists for example. That may be why you couldn't find anything online.

I realise that but it does effect how the dopamine is transmitted as described in Professor Earley's paper
