Hi all. I wanted to drop a short note to those of you who responded to my last post. I have a wonderful success story. In my last post I reached out for help because I was struggling badly with crippling exhaustion and nausea. Many of you reached out to me for which I am very grateful. Two suggestions were made to see if it could help: Firstly it was suggested that I take the Pregabalin 3 times daily instead of in 1 dose at night. The second suggestion was to take the Tramadol in a similar way - 3 times daily. I said in my replies that i would give it a go and for 2 weeks I have been trying it out. The results have been amazing. I no longer feel any exhaustion, nausea or other debilitating side effects. And to crown it all I have zero RLS symptoms. I feel like I have my life back. I feel normal again and literally haven't felt this well for decades! My Doctor is very supportive and gave me an extra Tramadol so that I can take it 3 times daily, for which I am very grateful. On reflection, I think each of us are individuals and respond differently to medication - it is what many of you affirm regularly. For me, I think one of my issues was taking Pregabalin in 1 large dose - it made me feel very ill. Splitting the dose up made such a difference. And taking Tramadol through the day has stopped the mini-withdrawals I was having. I appreciate that there is no silver bullet and there is some uncertainty about Tramadol's long term use. But for now I am so so grateful. Thank you to those of you who take the time to listen to people's stories, like you did to mine, and for offering measured, thoughtful and balanced medical advise. I am very grateful for the advice given to me and for the huge improvement I am experiencing. All the very best to you all, especially those who monitor and manage this forum. We are so fortunate to have this community.
