Buspirone

Hi,I've been taking Buspirone for a while for anxiety witch is causing unbearable Tinnitus, has anyone else suffered this and would there be another anxiety pill that does not cause this.ta.

Not sure of the cause - but this is a pretty neat procedure to lessen your tinnitus...

Thankyou DicCarlson,I would have had Tinnitus but never this awful, so was wondering if it was new meds.that I've been on recently like Buspirone or the new BP tab.that I've been taking 4 or so weeks,I will certainly try this.

In checking out Buspirone I do see that it can make tinnitus worse as you have found. Alprazolam (Xanax) is safe and may help.

I find that increases in serotonin makes my tinnitus worse. I don’t have problems with Diazepam which I use for sleep.

Hi Typicallygaslit,yes ,I have stopped Buspirone and my gp has prescribed Diazepam low dosage short term, I do find the Tinnitus has lessened but not fully,hopefully it will stop in time. I don't take the Diazepam every day so I take a sleeping tab.when needed,thankyou for replying. Good luck to you.

Thanks. I have a suspicion that my RLS and tinnitus are correlated, but I don’t have any data to support it. It would seem that serotonin sensitivity is a culprit. I don’t tolerate any anymore! Good luck to you too.
