Simkin, I may not see posts unless you send me a message. It is the 'Chat' button.
Oh that is annoying nonsense. The British formulary lists 13 brands of buprnorphine pills. Show your pharmacy this list of all the available Buprenorphine pills in the UK.

Another photo of the Accord brand.
Are you visiting Boots, or a smaller, independent pharmacy? I don't understand how they don't have a list of all the available Buprenorphine 0.4mg brands. My pharmacist usually gets supplies from one major healthcare company. AAH. But they supply at least 4 of the pills on the BNF list. Ask who their supplying company is.
You may have to change pharmacist or use an online pharmacy and they will send them to you.
My pharmacy (ie chemist) only gets Buphrenorphine, marketed as Tephine, from Sandoz. My GP is up for giving me a prescription for the Accord version, but, as I say, may local chemist says no. I have built up a very good relationship with them, and am reluctant to go elsewhere.
As rkatt posts, the problem may be your pharmacy and the supplier they use. My pharmacy is a small independent company and they get their medications supplied by:alliance-healthcare.co.uk/
Alliance Healthcare can supply Accord, Tephine, Sandoz and Morningside brands of buprenorphine.
Your pharmacy may use another supplier with a more limited supply.
My pharmacist often rings around other supply companies or other pharmacies if there is an issue sourcing Accord brand.
I hope you can source the Accord brand to see if it makes a difference.
