RLS and Adenomyosis

I have had RLS for 30+ years and was also diagnosed with Adenomyosis in 2019. The pain in my legs has increased in the past 6 months to an unbelievable level and I wonder if there is any information/research on having both of these conditions as I'm wondering if the adenomyosis exacerbates the RLS?

If you were still menstruating I would say it did because heavy periods can deplete your iron. However you are on HRT and the estrogen can cause the womb lining cells within the muscle wall to bleed again making your symptom worse. Gabapentin helps with the pain but you couldn't live with the side effects. I suggested you try pregabalin which could also help with the pain.

Thanks for your reply Sue. I have GP appt in a couple of weeks so will be asking about Pregabalin for sure.

Adenomyosis is made worse by high estroegen and the herbicides and pesticides used on grain crops mimick estrogen. Grains also raise blood sugar levels and the herbicide and pesticide residues which can cause inflammation of the nerves leading to rls so try reducing your intake of grains, bread, cakes, biscuits and breakfast cereals.
