Does Steak Trigger RLS

Another quick question - again, I know I have seen answers before .. but does anyone else find that eating steak for dinner really triggers RLS. And if so, any idea why? Again, big thanks, Sally

As far as making RLS worse goes, I'd suggest that it's more a timing issue.

Eating anything that is less easily digested - such as red meat - too late in the day can seemingly exacerbate RLS symptoms. Indeed some advise not eating anything substantial after (say) 7.

I guess it depends on the severity of RLS and the efficiency of one's digestive system.

It may not be the steak itself, but things that accompany it, like sauces.

Personally, I eat plantbased.

Yes, sauces made with sugar or shop bought sauces containg artificial preservative E202

Yes, they should though it may be referred to as potassium sorbate. It's found in almost every margarine and many 'wet' products like sauces and dips.
