Hashimotos - low cortisol, adrenal issues.

Hello Thyroid colleagues

I have recently tested for Cortisol. The saliva test , (4 times over 12 hours) was below the ref range for 2 out of the 4 tests and the other 2 tests were just within the ref' range.

The 9am blood test was 113 - (ref range 135 - 532).

I am wondering whether any of you who take thyroid meds have found that the meds affect their adrenal glands. producing low cortisol results.

I would be interested to hear of any thyroid Addisons disease connections. I realise Addisons is extremely rare but my blood test is concerning me.

I am exploring all avenues before my doctors appointment.

I will also post this on the HU Restless Legs group in case my RLS meds are contributory.

Thank you in advance for any responses.

Jane 😊

Says that the minute you take levothyroxin and are on Thyroid Medication, you will have cortisol problems.
