Has anyone else experienced a reduction in RLS symptoms when their blood pressure is raised?
I hope you are all finding some relief and able to enjoy the weekend.

I've had somewhat elevated blood pressure for decades alongside RLS, but cannot link the two.
On the other hand, I've been on meds for the blood pressure for the last 2 years, and apart from the temporary malign impact of statins prescribed for cholesterol my RLS has now gone (as long as I'm sensible about sugar, caffeine, artificial sweeteners etc). Personally, I think the diet issues had much more impact on my RLS than BP. But we're all different!
That's interesting as it is usually just the opposite. I don't have an answer to that.
Thanks Sue,
I just did a quick Google search and research suggests for middle aged women the opposite is true, ie the RLS tends to increase the incidence of hypertension probably due to insomnia. I’ll look into it a bit more when I have a minute. I wondered if my brain was better perfused with oxygen when my BP is raised but thats pure speculation. It s odd though because last year when my Mum was very ill and later died I noted the same effect, an increase in stress and my BP readings but much reduced RLS. 🤔😊.
