I have been on 0.18mg pramipexole for about 8 or 9 years now always the same dose and have not experienced any augmentation symptoms like many here. I am still fine on it but what I'm wondering is should I work my way off it because augmentation is inevitable further down the line or carry on as I am with a good quality of life and sleep ? I'm 61 by the way. Has anyone else been on it for long time like me ? Thanks for reading.

pramipexole withdrawal ?
There's no reason to believe you actually will get augmentation at all ( although the statistics would be against it!)
As long as you are doing ok, then why change? You are on a low enough dose to be able to come off it , hopefully, without too horrendous withdrawals.
You could get another few years, or experience it tomorrow!😢
I think ,if you are in a really good place now, compared to many others, then stay at your current dose. My gut feeling is that if you start tinkering, you may trigger some unwanted reaction.
Others will come on with more advice. I would say that we get the extremes of experience on this site. Many people have been on Prami for 10/ 20 years without any concerns. It's just that they don't come on here to tell us!!!👍
Good luck.
I agree with Madlegs1. Although up to 70% of people will suffer from augmentation, that means 30% or more won't. You have been on it a fair amount of time without augmenting. Just be aware of the signs.
I agree with Madlegs and Sue. You're aware of augmentation so will recognise it if it happens but, in the meantime, stay on the low dose. Long may it continue to help you.
I augmented terribly on Ropinirole but I have a sister-in-law who has taken pramiprexole for at least 15 years with no augmentation. I don’t know her dose but don’t believe she has ever raised it. I’m so envious!!!!
