Hi guys , hope you are all well, i have just received my blood results as i have been feeling really lethargic recently and i was wondering if anybody can give me some insight into what is going on with my body.

The first red flag i saw on my results were the Serum Ferritin Levels which are supposed to be between (10.0 - 322.0) mine were 5082 !

Can anybody shed some light on this

Appreciate it . Thanks

Is that 5,082 or 508.2?

If that's 5082 and not 508 please speak to your GP tomorrow. 5082 would be very, very high and suggest an inflammatory condition.

If it was 5082, your doctor would have sent an ambulance straight to your door!😝

Seen the GP today and he did the routine checks BP, HR, Temp and said he will refer me to Hepatology

That sounds sensible. You definitely need further tests.

Look at this information about abnormally high Serum Ferritin. After reading this, I would be asking your Dr to explain your results. It is hard to believe they didn't act on this, but I am not a Dr so maybe they are aware of some extenuating circumstances?

Have you had a serious illness/ or major accident involving large doses of blood infusions.?

Otherwise the first test is to determine Haemocromatosis.

Good luck.
