Gabapentin may cause weight gain. But for most it is minor. I gained 2 to 3 pounds. And it is much better than dopamine agonists - no augmentation.

I have been taking gabapentin for 4 months and have not gained any weight or experienced any significant side effects. I was worried about weight gain too.

I have taken codeine,tramadol and morphine and none have caused weight gain.

Gabapentin made me stupid, lazy, and I gained weight. Tramadol has no effect on weight for me.
