Hi folks, I have been taking gabapentin (600mg mid evening) with pretty good effect for several months. I am also being investigated for walking difficulties which has deteriorated more over the last few weeks and I'm wondering if this could be the gabapentin as I see that this can be one of the side-effects. Has anyone had any experience of this?

Hello yes my walking is deteriorating. I take 6 gabapentin each day for MS. I think there are all sorts of side effects but I haven’t seen my consultant for 2 years to discuss.
I have been taking gabapentin for several years now, 300mgs twice daily. Thankfully I have had no side effects from this and hopefully that will continue. I also take 6-7mgs of Ropinirole daily and my Rls is fairly static on this with just the occasional flair-up for a week or two. Maybe I'm just lucky.
I hope the investigations result in an easily controlled diagnosis for you.
