Happy New Year everyone - joy, peace and good health - maybe a breakthrough in RLS who knows!
My RLS was a nightly occurrence. (As on my previous posts I have tried the usual things bu given up).In July I had a knee replacement and had mild restless leg but only in the un operated knee. This continued once home for about 2 months but not every night. Then it suddenly stopped and I was free completely from RLS for just over 2 months - paradise regained. I thought I’d sussed it out by keeping legs very warm basically. However I came to U.K. on 21st December and it immediately started up again big time - every night. If I don’t take a sleeping tablet I am up literally all night. I haven’t done anything different in the way of eating. It doesn’t seem to make any difference whether I walk or not.
Can anyone make any sense of this?

Thanks for your reply. Maybe it’s that. Very disappointing !!! I am eating differently as I have been staying with a friend who is strictly vegetarian and also doesn’t have regular meal times, has very lat breakfast and doesn’t eat again evening meal. I don’t eat meat everyday myself but I do eat some normally when on my own. I have noticed the long time beteeen meals doesn’t seem to suite me as I get indigestion and aérophagie every evening. Do you think all this could affect legs?
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a wonderful NY with relief from your RLS
Thank you, it is very clear from contributions on this forum that the condition of the gut is hugely important for many people.I always bring snack bars with me in similar situations. I find the "de luxe" bars from Lidl work well for me. Nutritious and not packed with cereal or sugar.
But there are many other sources of snacks that can be hidden secretly! Nuts, dried fruit etc.
