Getting off Pramipexole (positive story) so far

Hi all,

After posting on this forum a couple of months ago, last week I started reducing my pramipexole. I was taking 2x0,125mg for 14 years and then augmentation started and I was taking 4x0,125mg. I quickly stopped taking the 4th pill, because I was only taking that for 1 week. So I was stuck at 3.

Currently I am taking 2,5x0,125 and I still sleep!

For exactly 1 week I have been reducing and while I notice my legs are very very heavy and my knees hurt from moving all night, I can say: so far so good! I get a solid 7 hours of sleep without waking up and my daytime symptoms are not there.

I just wanted to share some positivity here for everybody who is thinking of reducing..

Yes, I am very aware (and scared) about the next reduction, because not every reduction is the same. I hope to do the next one later next year (hopefully augmentation does not peek around the corner) and then I’m back at my original dose.

Thanks for everybody who provided good, solid, friendly advise to me (and others).

All the best.
