It seems to me that lately a lot of posts have been so demonstrative about a particular course of treatment that they seem hostile to anyone who has a different opinion or experience.
As a frequent reader and occasional poster it makes me not want to participate by reading or posting. The feel, for me, is moving “warm and welcoming” to “opinionated and angry”.
I appreciate passionate feelings about important matters. I am, myself, very opinionated, but I also know what what makes perfect sense to me does not always work for others.
Bodies (and minds) are infinitely complicated and varied. What works for one person often does not work for someone else. Often we can’t figure out why this is true, nevertheless it is true.
Please, let’s tone down the rhetoric and remain the safe haven for RLS sufferers that this community has been for so long.
Let’s share information without expecting everyone to get on board or agree with our current hypothesis about RLS treatment.
I hope this is received with the loving care that I intend.

Thank you Toast. You express my feelings as well. And in a far nicer way than I could have done. Obviously, I second your call. The people on this forum have been extremely helpful to be simply by sharing their experiences. Just that is invaluable. Let's continue to do so.
Thanks for the timely post-- every now and again chats here get a bit heated.People can be a tiny bit over enthusiastic with their opinions, but that's life!
My own philosophy is that it is up to me as to how I react to any of such posts.
I agree. But I haven’t been reading the posts in great detail recently. I used to get rather upset by previous forceful opinions though & thankfully I haven’t posted much recently so hopefully I’m not the culprit!I know you won’t want to point the finger but might you be able to hint about which topic because I haven’t spotted these forceful views recently
The thing we need to remember is that we all know the misery of this affliction. So things can get a bit passionate when we find something that works for us. People here just want to help others, because lets face it we are not getting much help from the professionals who should be helping us.
I am going to use my non-medical degree and conclude that perhaps some of us are not getting enough sleep. A bit of grace might be in order. Thanks for the reminder.
