Slowly improving

After over two weeks of terrible legs (after coming off mirapexin) I think the gabapentin is starting to work. The last 3 nights were awful with hardly any sleep but last night with tramadol of course I slept all night and tonight without tramadol I slept at around 11. Unfortunately I woke up half an hour ago with my leg but not terribly bad. I have had a level teaspoonful of Kratom and the horrible feeling is subsiding so I think I'll be able to sleep. I'm having blood tests tomorrow morning so I hope the Kratom wont affect them. So I think the gabapentin is working. I must say I almost gave up on it but thanks to this site and the advice I received, I stuck to it. It really does take over 2 to 3 weeks to take effect so anyone who is trying it shouldn't give up. I hope soon I'll be able just to take the gabapentin and nothing else.

Well done for getting off the Mirapex. It can take months for the troublesome withdrawal symptoms to settle and if the RLS breaks through, you can do what you've mentioned- take a tramadol or a teaspoon of kratom.

The last time I tried a teaspoon of kratom it kept me awake for a couple of hours. I found it did help with the rls, but I couldn't sleep.
