Help with one problem is causing another one

Not sure if I have to ask a question about RLS only as I don't really have a problem with that. My question is related to the medication I am taking for my Neuropathy. I was taking Gabapentin a couple of years before switching to Lyrica because it wasn't working for me. I would like to know if anyone who is or has taken Lyrica, developed symptoms of TD. I believe I have but I'm a little hesitant to mention this to my doctor because I might have to be put on another medication that may cause yet another problem. Help!

Lyrica is used for RLS so you may be able to get an answer from a member of this forum.

However, you'll have to say what "TD" is

I assume TD is Tardive Dyskinesia - seems to be in the right ball park. If so then I took pregabalin (lyrics) 300mg a day for a year and didn’t experience anything like that. I also don’t recall any posts on this forum mentioning it either.

If as Munroist suggests TD stands forTardive Dyskinesia the drugs that usually cause TD are are either sedating antihistamines or dopamine antagonists.

Gabapentin is neither of these.

In addition if you were taking either of these two classes of drugs they would be making your RLS significantly worse.

Hence, if by TD you DO mean Tardive Dyskinesia you need to discuss thiswith your Doctor.

If TD means something else, then let us know otherwise we can't offer any further help.

If you mean Tardive Dyskinesia, then no. I have taken Lyrica for approx 7 years and haven't experienced anything like TD symptoms.
