Manerva will be back

OK I just went to the Post-Search and read the "Patient Expert" from Manerva. He did not say he was leaving this forum, just that it was his last post about that topic. That was only 5 days ago. He replied so many times on that post he must be bleary eyed. Give him a break. He'll be back. He is a caregiver, he would never leave all of you with out a goodby. I believe that Manerva is also too dignified a gentleman to go off in a huff over a little controversy. He certainly has survived many of those on this forum. HE WILL BE BACK. Patience little ones.

I know Manerva has issues or demons - whatever you like to call them.

There certainly was a spat and I think he took offence.

Certainly,that is part of the discussive mode on this site. Some may take it more seriously than others.

99% of people understand that this is a voluntary site with people giving their personal opinions from their own experience.

Manerva gave more than most in his short life- we have been incredibly fortunate to have his experience and research capabilities.

I'm sure, when he has had time to get his head back together again, he may take up the challenges on the RLS forum.

I am wondering if you know Manerva intimately, as a friend. I only ask because of your knowledge of his "demons/issues". I read the whole, very long post on the "patient expert". If that is what you are talking about his taking offense over a spat, in my opinion there was nothing there to take offense about. As I read Manerva's replies he stayed calm and educated. I can't believe that a person that has posted so many positive articles and has the intelligence and professionalism as he seems to have would let himself be offended by anyone. So back to my original post. Manerva WILL BE BACK, my opinion of course. I believe he is bigger in character than walking away from all these people who appreciate and love him.

If you follow Manerva's contributions to this forum ( which is extremely difficult to do now) you would come across a post where he describes himself and his personality. That is why he found it difficult to keep a relationship together.I am only surmising from what he had posted himself.

I really don't like dissecting someone's personality in public.

Especially one who has contributed so much.

I don't know him or her personally at all.

On my healthy days

I have pull out my paint brushes 🎨 sketch pads , pastels and been having a jolly good time. That might sound boring , I could tell you I go surfing 🏄‍♀️ but that would be a Furfy 😂

Yes when you are suffering RLS , it is sometimes just too much to cope with, and time out is the temporary solution. I did the same in fact, no other reason than I had to take a break. Poor soul!
