Hi all just an update to my reducing of the Amiltriptyline I take at night. Its been a week and a bit where I've taken one every other night and found that on the nights I didn't take them my rls was greatly reduced and I slept a few hours more than usual. However, this increased my nerve pain problem and I couldnt cope with it. So it's back to the drawing board I'm afraid and try something else. I did go to my gp who suggested I wean down from 3 x 300mg of gabapentin to 2 x 300mg but this also brought the nerve pain back.

Reducing Amiltriptyline
Have you thought about medical cannabis? I have MS nerve pain and was prescribed Amitriptyline. It was so bad for my RLS I stopped taking it but cannabis really helped.I now get medical cannabis from project-twenty21 and 0.4ml-0.6ml of cannabis oil with THC really helps the nerve pain.
I have tried CBD oil but that didn't do a lot for me but it didn't have hardly any thc in it as I don't want the effects of the cannabis. Maybe I should look into it again?
CBD oil won't work at all. Medical cannabis oil with 20% THC has to be prescribed by a specialist pain doctor and works out about £3 a day. I take it an hour before bed and so am asleep before any 'high' takes effect.Link attached if you want to apply.

Hi Jules has it helped your RLS . ?Pipps x
It didn't stop the RLS but it put me in a deep sleep for about 3-4 hours and that was for the first time in years. However, I still had severe RLS so then tried Buprenorphine which has been miraculous. Zero RLS night or day for over 6 weeks now so I don't need the cannabis any more.
