Help pramipexole

Please could alone tell me about the side affects of pramipexole, my GP had put me on them until I can see a neurologist as none of the other medications have worked. He didn't want to put me on them as they apparently addictive and this is the last resort as I can't sleep.

Have you tried Pregabalin or gabapentin? They are now considered the first line meds for RLS.All medications will have side effects, but they differ with each person.🥴

What other meds are you taking including anti depressants and anti histamines?Have you been on any other dopamine agonists like ropinirole or sinemet in the past?

Did the GP discuss Impulse Control Disorder and Augmentation with you before prescribing Pramipexole? Did he order full panel blood tests first to ensure your serum iron and ferritin are at acceptable levels for RLS?

What dose of pramipexole has he started you on?

I have had several blood tests and we've tried all the RLS medications over the last 4 years or so . He knows I'm trying not to take any unnecessary medication.At the moment I only take medication for my stomach so yeh we did discuss this before he prescribed it as I said he was very reluctant to prescribe it but it's there last resort to help me get sleep. That's why he's referring me to a neurologist to make sure it's definitely RLS as it only happens in the evening from 2:30am I have the classic symptoms.
