Nothing whatsoever to do with RLS, but with pure determination. Guts.

Loved reading this Madlegs . There are so many people suffering unexplained pain & this just shows how entrenchec the medical profession can be.

Thank you so much for posting. Shows us again that determination can pay off and that finding a doctor who will truly listen is hard but not impossible. It also taught me a useful test and confirms what I had suspected - that my (thankfully far less severe) abdominal pain is wall, too. Best wishes

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Both depressing and hopeful.

That was in the Washington Post. Do you live in the US?

From "Stuff" an online New Zealand news outlet.I'm living in Ireland, but have a daughter in NZ, so like to keep up with their news.

They have an international section. 🧐

Excellent! Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine goes from doctor to doctor and her chart with a description as a "difficult patient" follows her to each new doctor.

Thanks for posting this, Madlegs. Kudos to her for being so tenacious. I remember a somewhat unconventional doctor who wrote years ago that, for some of his medical colleagues, if the symptoms don't match their predetermined view of how things are, they pretend the symptoms don't exist. Sadly, not unlike the experience of some with RLS, though hopefully that is diminishing.
