It's so upsetting reading how many of us RLS sufferers there are. There's no comfort in knowing there are so so many who, like me, have their lives taken over by this awful condition. I truly wish there was some way we could all get some relief, I'm not suggesting a miracle, after a lifetime of suffering & I'm nearly 70, I know miracles don't happen but, as other sufferers have said, a medical person who will listen & try to help. I'm lucky that my GP (no idea who he is as we never have the same one twice) is trying to help me. I hope that, all fellow sufferers, soon have the help they need & the relief they deserve. I'm so glad I found this site. Thank you everyone xx

It’s good to hear you have a cooperative doctor. Ask him to prescribe Temgesic for your RLS. It’s the closest thing I’ve had to a miracle!!

That's good news. Long may it continue! How long have you been taking it and are there any side effects?x

About a month. I’ve put quite a few posts and replies on this forum about Temgesic (buprenorphine) and it IS like a miracle. I’m also coming off prami so it’s difficult to guess how things will progress but Shumbah’s been on it a year with no real side effects.

I would urge any sufferers who are having a hellish time to try it. If they can control your RLS with vitamins and hot baths then it’s not for you.

Thank you & everyone for "being there". Even virtually, it's comforting. As much as I hate to think of anyone else going through RLS, this site makes it, not easier, but not so lonely. I'm still waiting for the specialist to get in touch, in the current climate, not sure when that will be, but, I'll post as soon as I know anything. Keep safe & try to keep smiling xx
