It seems I have 2 kinds of RLS: If I do more exercise or stretching than usual that night I get a continuous dull ache in my legs starting from the hips down; and my usual RLS every night that comes in waves every 10-15 seconds and shoots through the legs, usually in an undefined place. Anyone else?

2 kinds of RLS?
I find mind changes it use to be all in my legs now it seems to have settled to pains and cramping type feeling in my feet and over the last week or so has been giving me a lot of pain in my ankles. It can range from tingling sensations to proper pains shooting in different areas.
All very strange and uncomfortable, nothing seems to halt it hence endless sleepless nights.
If nothing else we do gain knowledge from this site that each persons journey is a different one with many bumps along the way. We just manage as best we can, which often isn't very well.
May you have many peaceful nights
I think mine changes slightly in its presentation and also in the sensations I experience. Too difficult to describe the subtlety of the sensations. It is always somehow obvious that it is rls - something to do with the timing of its presentation and the fact that there is always a rhythm to it - ie each 'pulse' sort of kicks off almost imperceptibly right at the begining (for nano-seconds), rises to a crescendo of misery which requires movement and recedes again - all over the space of seconds or minutes.
I get an ache from the back of my pelvis down my right leg. I also only get RLS in my right side so I know that I involuntary tense that side. I guess because I am always moving or twisting my right leg or tensing the muscle it causes me pain. I dont always get the ache but if I have had a really rough couple of days it can be really painful. Some times it almost feels like my right side and left side belong to two different people. I also get an ache and spasm in my right buttock that is more noticeable when I am trying to relax my right side.
I have very bad RLS but I don’t have any pains anywhere. From this thread I’ve heard from the most experienced that RLS DOES NOT produce pain. Can someone explain the differences? One of the people that has the most experience once said if you experience pain then it’s NOT RLS. Correct me, please, or rather, instruct me about what us the correct information.
