Hi I wonder if anyone can help? I seem to have symptoms of RLS but these are confined to my left foot only? Twitching ankle/foot burning.

Hi Cakefreak,

This link taken from the RLS-UK website may help in deciding whether you are suffering from RLS.

My RLS problem was also confined to my left foot and toes, but did not affect the ankle. Also, it wasn't a burning sensation; rather it mas more of uncomfortable feeling with a need to continually stretch my toes to get temporary relief. It only occurred while lying down. So getting up and walking around provided relief. Vitamin B-12 supplement help reduce the occurances of the condition. But it wasn't until I was prescribed methylprednisolone for a food allergy, did I finally get total relief. Perhaps, it was an coincidence that my RLS symptoms completely disapeared after taking methyprednisolone for 5 days, but I haven't had any RLS occurrences since. I still am taking daily a B-12 supplement just to be on the safe side.

Hi, thank you for sharing that, mine is similar in that the only relief is to stretch toes and rotate my foot. It’s not painful it’s just slightly uncomfortable (more irritating than anything else) I clicked on the response above from Kaarina which seems to tick all the boxes so I’m wondering if it’s a mild case or maybe early stages I’m not sure. I will definitely purchase B-12 supplements it’s worth a try thank you very much for your advice.
