Hello all,

I am aware that there are some very knowledgeable members on this forum and just after some advice. Just wondering if metoclopramide / Domperidone are know have have RLS as a side effect/worsen it?

Yes they both can worsen RLS.. These and other anti-nausea or anti-reflux medicnes plus proton pump inhibitor and H2 inhibitor anatacids all make RLS worse.

If you suffer reflux, there are other things you can do. Obviously not as easy as taking medicines.

I took metoclopromide for GERD and it sent my legs through the roof. It also caused my hands to shake after half an hour of taking the first dose and I only took half a tablet for 9 days on and off instead of 3 tablets a day. My stomach felt great but I couldn’t stand taking it any longer. Incidentally after stopping taking it, a couple of weeks later I developed internal tremors on a daily basis.quite frightening. Lasted around 6 months. I’ve not had any shaking at all for about 4 months now. Coincidence? read the leaflet that comes with it.
