The two may possibly interact although your dose of pregabalin is quite low.

The most likely interaction is that side effects might add up. This would possibly mean you may be very drowsy. That might wera off in the morning. Zopiclone is short acting.

Another issue may be respiratory depression. If you take the codeine as well - - -

The other problem with the short acting "Z" drugs is they can cause sleep disturbance, particularly sleep walking. However, Zolpidem, is, I believe, worse for this.

I recall you've had sleep disturbances before.

Bearing that in mind, I'd say i wouln't consider taking the zopiclone if I was also taking pregabalin and codeine.

In fact my GP prescribed me TEN tablets of zopiclone in Jan 2019 when I was trying to wean off pramipexole and also taking gabapentin. She wouldn't allow me any more saying there was a high risk of addiction. She also refused to prescribe any opiate.

I never took any of them.

Well my husband took Zopiclone for years for sleep problems...and 5 years ago got bladder cancer. He is in remission. The side effects on the info actually say that bladder cancer is a rare side effect...also, he had to keep increasing dose ..he doesn't take it any more but doesn't have RLS.

Good to hear your husband is in remission.

Where does this info regarding zopiclone and bladder cancer originate from I’ve been taking zopiclone for years and find this post most upsetting

in reply toHoochybaby

I don't think you've mentioned taking Zopiclone before. For years?

This might be one possible explanation for your sleep issues.
