Doctors?
The one who knows about rls.
Not to be smart--- but unless you are incredibly lucky, you will have to educate yourself on all matters rls.
Kaarina can link you to the best sites. ( I hope 🥺)
Are you in the UK or states?
States
There is the dr in California talks about and there is also Dr. Arthur Walters in Nashville, Tn. He’s the dr close to where I am, so I’ll be making an appt soon. I texted with one person in this support group that they drive from Florida to see him. I don’t believe a general practitioner has enough knowledge about this dreadful “syndrome,” so they call it. Good luck! Keep us all posted if you see someone who can give you some relief!
Is the dr a neurologist
Neurology and Sleep Specialist
Thank you. I do have an appointment with a neurologist who specializes in our RLS at Johns Hopkins
If you’re in the States and want to find a knowledgeable doctor, it may pay to become a member of the US rls.org. It costs about $35 a year ( from the top of my head, not a member myself as I am in NL). And they have a list if knowledgeable rls doctors. You’ll most likely find someone fairly near to you/ in your state.
Or try to pm nightdancer. She manages a lot of rls groups and knows about quite a few rls doctors.
