I’d like to bring her something re RLS, DAs, and augmentation. (She had me on ropinerol).
If my intention is to alert/introduce her to the fact that DAs shouldn’t be prescribed for RLS without sounding like I doubt her as a physician, what would you have me print out to give her?
(A link would be welcome as I’m not a morning person so probably won’t have the wherewithal to go googling info to find what might be recommend to me.)
Thank you in advance

All information is non threatening - the difficulty lies within the reciever of the information. GP's are notorious for having to be right above all others, (see also referees, solicitors and wives).
The trick is to present the information as if it is coming from them - "When you told me to do a little reading....." "I was thinking of what you said and I found......." you get my drift?
They will also want 'proper' information which means 1 try not to get American stuff 2 proper places only for info - NICE and BNF are acceptable livestrong.com and antivaxxers.ie aren't going to get a hearing.
This link to a thread on HU has loads of good info on it:
It is a talk by Dr B - a leading figure in RLS treatment. Unfortunately he is an American but his info above others it to be listened to.
Of course there will need to be double blind studies (unfortunately this is erroneously seen as the litmus test for knowledge among the medical profession) and google scholar may throw up some decent results.
ULTIMATELY the Dr will be working from NICE guidelines so this will either help or hinder your case:
When I approached my GP I came armed with Dr B's info, NICE guidelines and a few articles. God knows if he ever read them but I did what I could do by leaving him the info. I offered it with doffed hat and in a deferential way so not to disturb their ego (some Drs will aromatically pull down the shutters if they think you are gaining info on your own (we are not capable of accessing or dissecting the complicated data that only med school will allow so I went very gently).
Good luck, really hope you get progress. Let us know how you get on.
Not my disapproval of Americans, (apart from your president, his advisers and the KKK) that's the GP's who disapprove of American info - I am not a GP and I am willing to see and admit that what starts in the US normally comes our way, see crack (and not the good Irish kind spelt craic), methamphetamine, issues prescribing opiates to those who need them due to f**kwits prescribing them willy-nilly reality TV and the Iraq war!
OK so that now sounds disapproving so leg me add Game of Thrones, most Sci-Fi, the push for cannabis legalisation (even if its criminalisation was brought about by an American and made worse by more), some good books and a lot of good humour - Bill Hicks, George Carlin and George Bush I'm looking at you guys - thanks for the laughs
Bring your doctor research by Dr Mark Buchfuhrer from Stanford CA. He has written much on the subject and finds that in severe cases Opioids work best in relieving RLS. Google his name.
