Some more information on RlS
Yes it is an interesting article, thank you.
Yes, there are cases of secondary RLS which may be associated with inflammatory or immune conditions. There are also cases of idiopathic RLS, which so far, have no proven association. I think the article does recognise this.
It's a matter of personal judgement for any reader to ask themselves, does this apply to me, and shall I try the relevant solution.
Example, i don't have celiacs, sleep apnoea, depression, ADHD, rheumatoid etc. (I do have Asperger's but that's not listed). However, as someone who's been vegetarian for 44 years, my iron stores are low probably as a result of that.
I,m not going to rush out and start eating liver and red meat! Partly because I need to diet because of the Gabapentin, partly because eating meat is contributing to global warming and partly because I'd gag on it. How do you cook meat anyway?
Perhaps global warming's not a good reason, I think it's too late to stop a runaway train when the drivers (governments) aren't looking and the engine (economics) is racing.
But the article does suggest supplements, which covers it.
Yes, good article.
Reasonably expressed article. Covers most rls situations. Worth reading.
Thanks for the link.
Another interesting link. Thanks wanman. The Sibo test is around £200 if done at home/ by post or £300 if done at a private hospital in the UK. It would then cost about £250 for a private doctor appointment to issue the prescription.
The NHS is not willing to fund the cost in my area.
The SIBO trial only covered a very small number of people but interestingly every person with RLS had it.
