Yes I'm 67 years old and have dealt with RLS. SINCE I WAS 11 . I was always late for school then work throughout my career. Only just a few months ago I completely cut all sugar. No more RLS. If i breakdown and eat a candybar. I can tell. So yes

Yep. Diet seems to be the trigger for me as well.

So out of interest does that include fruit. I'm trying out different things at present to try and find if I have a trigger. It's great that you have found yours

No, just processed junk food, fruit is ok. I also stopped gluten and that helps tons. I find an anti inflammatory diet really helps, along with cal mag and hemiplex iron supplements. It seems I have to do these things along with my neupro patch. If I have an awful night, I can always seem to blame it on cheating with my food...I’m also watching my hormone cycle...seems to be terrible before period. Also, I’m on a prescription strength vit D, as well as vit B shots. What a mystery disease this seems to be.

Thank you, and yes your right I'm on pregabalin and still have awful nights. Trying to eliminate certain foods at present I eat reasonably healthy, but which of us don't slip from time to time, I think gluten maybe a problem for me but doesn't seem to be that alone so tricky to workout, but thanks for your insight it all helps us find different ways to fight back on this awful disease.

Yes i am exactly the same . I do have sugar in my first coffee in the morning but otherwise nothing. There are times when i have succumbed to a Greggs triple chocolate cookie but as long as its once in a blue moon and around lunchtime im not too bad he he he

I am not much of a sugar eater, but have recently cut my Truvia (stevia) intake in half and believe it MAY have made some difference. I'm only a couple of weeks into this trial, so will keep everyone updated. I will also be following up on something I read about...a woman who had multiple neuromas in her foot. After having them removed, her RLS stopped. I have 2 documented neuromas and plantar fasciitis, which I feel sure are making my RLS much worse in my left leg. Now, to convince the doctor!
