Hi beady! Nice to have you back! I don’t know if you remember me, but my former username was jess3648.

I’m sorry you’re still having a hard time. I hope the neurologist in July can help you! It sounds like you’re not holding out much hope, so I’ll do it for you!

Beady, Not all Neurologists know how to treat RLS. The RLS website can give names of Doctors who are familiar with this condition. That is how I found a Neurologist who has helped me a great deal. Brica

Beady is in the UK, so the RLS website wont be helpful for her.

Hi Beady sorry you are still having a rough time. Once off the patch i would stay away from all the dopamine meds, if i am correct you have augmented on them before. ? I hope you find a med which helps you.

Hi beady so sorry to hear of all of this.

I have/had suffered for around 30 years and eventually after seeing my GP on the same day as presenting at A&E I was prescribed Longtec.

I had researched on the RLS Foundation W.site the night before presenting at A&E and saw that Longtec can be an option for people that have tried everything else out there. Which I had. Before starting on Longtec i was suffering from Augmentation from other drugs. The RL had spread around my body to arms so was in a hopeless state.

I have faced resistance from other GPs around Longtec, however I do have it on repeat now. It has changed my life. I can now sleep at night.

If Your GP is resistant tell him/her to research on the RLF website and elswhere re Longtec.

Nobody should have to suffer like this unnecessarily.

Let me know how you go and take care

Jane x
