GOD i couldnt believe it for the first time i was able to watch television without getting up and paceing up and down also i slept all night im now on 3mg patches but now and again i do get minor spells of rsl but my life is good now i can socialize which i couldnt do i even had to come home from holiday one year it was that bad i just wish the patches were more advertised for rsl

Happy you have found the Neupro Patches are working for you. :) As you have increased them to 3mgs that is the highest dose to take for RLS, so dont let your doctor increase anymore. I hope the 3mg ones work for a very long time for you. :)

Cheack Augmentation out via search bar at top right of HealthUnlocked page. I was on the 2mg ones and my body was going haywire - here's a link to my dilemma and its solution:

Gosh you had me excited there for a second. Neuro-surgeons carry out surgery on your brain.

I thought you'd discovered a surgical technique for curing RLS.

Deflated, whether Neuro-surgeon or neurologist, you have just been prescribed a dopamine agonist.

Sorry, this is not a cure, it just gives symptomatic relief and it would benefit you to follow raffs suggestion.

I am very pleased for you. I have received great help from the Neupro patch. Let’s hope they continue to work for a long time. Let it be today’s cure and don’t worry about tomorrow!

As others here have said, you are now on the max dose for Neupro. At that dose, you're chances of developing augmentation are now significantly higher than at 1 or 2. Read up on augmentation, and consider talking about it with your doctor. One option would be to reduce the dose down to 2 mg, and add another medication such as gabapentin or pregabalin, both in the same class of drugs (alpha-2-deltas) that have almost no chance of augmentation.

I was on the 2 mg Neupro patch, and it worked well for awhile. Then augmentation set in, and I had to wean myself off it.
