Here I am at halfpast midnight on Boxing Day, in the throes of full body fizzyness . Hands, feet fizzing away.
Went to bed early after a great day at the daughters- beautifully prepared food- And ,of course I had to sample everything.
I'm blaming the Rocky Road buns ( full of raising agent biscuit) but there were plenty of other blameworthy suspects in the mix. Sip of drink, fizzy soda, sweets and more.
You would imagine 10 mg Oxycontin would give me a nights rest? Oh no- here I am fizzing away like a Spinning Catherine wheel on 5th November. Fizz fizz fizzlestickz.
I've taken 250of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen for you in Trumpland)
I really do hope he gets his wall built and so won't be able to escape! ( Sorry- no politics- delete that thought)๐
Ok- the Para should be taking effect- I'll put Deva Premal on timer with an Om mantra and hopefully will calmly get back to Nod.
Thanks for listening- you are a grand lot, just to be there and thinking to yourselves- what kind of eejit is that wan- maybe I'm not so bad after all- he's certainly in a bad way! ๐ค๐๐คฃ

Hi Madlegs, oh the lures of Christmas dinners! Iโve had two glasses of wine, and fortunately that is not really triggering my symptoms. Sorry to read your post, and I hope the para works by now and youโre back in Morpheusโ arms. How we all wish for a free ride but rarely get one.
For me, a few more stretches and back to bed. That should work.
Oh noooooo, the Christmas treats!! Who can resist them, I am so lucky to be able to eat them all. Hope the fizzles fizzled out and the para's worked and you got back to sleep. I am amazed that paracetamol can work so well for you. !
It works by potentiating the opiate. No good by itself for rls.
Yes- I got back to sleep ok after 30 minutes.๐ด
Thankyou all for kind replies.
Good you got back to sleep. So you take your opiate and then immediately take the para. ? I take a med called Tramacet its a lower dose of Tramadol plus paracetamol in it. I have Tramadol in my arsenal of meds which i use when the Tramacet seems to stop working . I can only take two Tramadol's spaced out over 5/6 hrs. thats my limit. So would you take para each time you took a Tramadol. ?
No- I only take the Para if the rls is still acting up. Usually after a trigger event- as at Christmas.
I had actewlly bad experience when I got a steroid injection for OA in big toe. The pain was just incredible, so I took Para max dose for 24 hrs along with Ibuprofen. The Para potentiated the Oxy so much that it took a week of hell to cope with the withdrawals!
Unfortunately, the steroid has worn off after 2 months- so I'm not sure what's next. Must look at the big toe forum on HU!๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐
Hi Madlegs glad that the Para helped. When I was having pain from gallstone getting stuck in bile duct the docs prescribed Paracetamol IV with each Morphineshot and it definitely made the opiate work better.I had forgotten about that so thanks for the reminder I will take a couple of Paras with my Zomorph on bad nights.
Hi my advice to you would be give the Oxycodone a few days / nights to get into your body & see how it goes , if still the same Fizzing, ack to see your GP, hope this helps, I was on large doses of said drug 24/7 now on Fentyal ,I have dreadful pain, 24/7 & have been got last 24 years. I kind of guess we all have to find a way to cope. Good Luck.
Love your writing, Madlegs! Very sorry to hear of your travails, but they surely get your creative juices flowing! Sincere hopes that things are settling down for you and that you're able to get some rest.
Hi Madlegs1 , I know you often post about raising agents being a trigger but this is the only post/reply I could find. (An entertaining read to be sure!)My question is, do you include regular yeast in your list of raising agents?
At bedtime, my young son told me his legs were twitchy (it's normally well controlled). As it turned out he'd had some bread after dinner, which he doesn't normally have. It was a sourdough loaf with yeast in it (no artificial ingredients).
