Utter drivel.

This Goop promoted charlatan has been the cause of so much delayed medical intervention. Utterly shameful.

Dangerous stuff.

Partake at your own risk.

I’ve heard mention of too many metals in relation to RLS a long time ago. I’ll have a look — thank you!

When I was younger I would have listened to a lot of heavy metal and my RLS wasn't as bad as it is now when I listen to more mellow stuff.

Oh, thank you, thank you! I'm a guitarist, and I have always loved that film. Absolutely brilliant. And he's right: those Marshall amps' volume controls really do go from 1 to 11. It's one mo'!

All this knowledge at 14. And he really expects people to believe it. Some out of desperation will try anything and he will continue to swindle his way through life

Wow. I’m wondering how isuus is feeling about his/her decision to post something he/she thought would be helpful to people.

I have read much of three of Anthony William’s books. While I have no idea what to make of the voice he claims to hear, I read his work with an eye toward deciding whether his explanations and recommendations made sense to me. Since his recommendations are virtually benign, I decided to try them. I have personally not found anything “dangerous” about lowering my high-fat protein intake, consuming more fruits and vegetables, and increasing my intake of cilantro and wild blueberries. Compared with a medical establishment whose main tool seems to be addictive pharmaceutical substances, I found his recommendations pretty refreshing. The result for me was that I lost about 15 unneeded pounds without trying, eliminated chronic heartburn completely, and my digestion appears to be better than it’s been in years. I note that others have posted on this site about the virtues of a plant-based diet, which is primarily what William recommends.

There are almost 7,500 reviews of William’s books on Amazon, with over 85% of reviewers (that’s over 6,400 people) rating those books as five stars. That doesn’t make him right, but if 6,400 people posted on this site that they got good results with their RLS by doing X, I for one would certainly be looking closely at it. In reading the Amazon reviews, there are a number of people who - having gone the gamut with allopathic medicine and been in as bad or worse shape than before – tried William’s recommendations and regained their health. I would think those cases would resonate somewhat with readers of this forum, where I regularly read postings of people railing about the failure of the medical establishment to help them.

I’m no apologist for William and each person can decide for themselves what advice or readings to consider or not. I honestly don’t know what to make of the voice he claims to hear. What I do know is that vitriolic name-calling, judgmentalism, and sarcastic mockery is unlikely to create a forum where people will feel safe to share and discuss ideas about the difficult condition we all face.

Sooooo true. I couldn't have put it better myself. I have two of his books. His advice is harmless compared to western addictive medicine that unfortunately fail so many sufferers here. If I could get my husband to talk about his condition I'd refer him to Anthony Williams advice (I'd consult someone regarding the supplements his suggests). I'm here collecting knowledge and his ideas are definitely on my list.

Doug, have you tried celery juice?

OFgc - Thanks. Yes, my wife and I have celery juice on a fairly regular basis, as well as William's heavy metals detox smoothie, which we find to be a very tasty fruit drink. Whether those will ultimately solve my RLS problem remains to be seen, but in the meantime, they're certainly nutritional and my body seems to like them. If you're able to find an alternative medicine practitioner who is familiar with both RLS and the array of potential supplements, that would be ideal.

All the best,

Doug

Roger that! :-)

I have to agree with Doug. People should feel safe about writing what they deem helpful on here. Isuus is trying to help and we should be grateful for that help. RLS is a very mysterious syndrome indeed, so we end up looking to different sources to try and find relief. There shouldn’t be an issue with isuus’ source choice. If he/she gets relief, what the heck does it matter where it comes from?!

Thanks isuus!

Thanks Jess!

The best thing is to try out what suits you intuitively. I do not have RLS, but crohn's disease five years ago. Since conventional medicine does not suit me, I ended up with a holistic doctor. He explained to me that most illnesses are caused by too many strains (pathogens) in the body. I was in therapy with this doctor for a year. First I did a diet, then frequency therapy to eliminate all pathogens and finally bioresonance to eliminate all allergies & environmental toxins. Since then, I am free of complaints. That's why I recommended Anthony William because it's also about pathogens and heavy metal and environmental toxins. Only he recommends eliminating them through nutrition and nutrients. I can also recommend meditating as it reduces stress, which plays a role in all illnesses.

Hope my english is ok...haha!

Thanks for your posting, issus. It was, in fact, that blog posting that prompted me to start following some of William's specific advice about six months ago.

It's wonderful to hear that you were able to eliminate your crohn's symptoms! Congratulations! It also sounds like you were able to find a doctor who both understand the root causes of your condition and how to resolve them. Doctors like that are so wonderful to discover.

Best wishes for continued health and success,

Doug

I am not disparaging the info - bring all info that you can to the table, (except the soap).

I have spoke to my dentist about removing mercury fillings so its definitely not something I wouldn't agree with - I just needed a laugh!
