Discovered this little snippet, on my travels in the ether.

Hope it helps some people.

"Iron supplements can decrease the availability of several medications, including levodopa, which is used to treat restless leg syndrome and Parkinson's disease and levothyroxine, which is used to treat a low-functioning thyroid."

That’s interesting Madlegs. There have been a few recent reports of iron levels preventing Augmentation on dopamine agonists.

Hi Joolsg Does that mean high iron levels resist augmentation?

The main point of this snippet, is that for some people on Pramipexol ( Mirapex/ Sifrol etc) who may be supplementing with iron, could have the effectiveness of the Prami diluted.

There is no reference to Augmentation in the article. But a takeaway point could be that that same cohort, could imagine that they are experiencing augmentation, while on the iron supplements. Whereas ,it would not be actual augmentation, but rather a side effect of the iron supplement.

This has relevance to anyone on Prami, and taking iron supplements at the same time.
