Lack of Sleep

As all of you out there know getting enough sleep is almost impossible.

I saw a locum and she has prescribed 2 items A) Trazodona (an anti depressant) B) Doxilamina ( an anti histamine). Both to be taken near bedtime.

Have any of you good people out there had any experience with these?

I don’t have any personal experience of those drugs but I know many anti depressants and anti histamines make RLS worse. Have a look at the link below. Medicines to avoid are near the bottom

Hi Peter-caribe

Doxylamine is an antihistamine and can make RLS worse. I believe the only safe antihistamines to take if you have RLS are Claritin / Clarytin and Allegra.

Trazodone does not generally worsen RLS.
