Hi, Bonbon32. I'm so sorry you are suffering. I'm not a doctor but I am a professional patient ;) I think you are experiencing more than one problem simultaneously. The crawling feeling is restless body syndrome, same thing as restless legs only all over. Are you male or female? what is your age?

You definitely need a visit to your PCP. Sounds like anxiety for sure, possibly high blood pressure. If you are female may be perimenopause.

I have restless body syndrome and I take Mirapex. It's awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Please see you doctor asap. I hope you feel better quickly.

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry! I was 99% sure you were female and in perimenopause from your symptoms. I've had MS and a long list of other problems since my late teens and I'm 53. I've really been through it with inept medical "professionals" and lack of insurance and money for proper care, but the silver lining is that forced me to research my problems and find natural ways to deal with them. I couldn't always find a natural solution but it did speed up my diagnoses since when I did see doctors I went armed with lots of information.

The main thing that I did deal with naturally is the perimenopause and fibroids. I found what worked for me through trial and error, and it so happened the same thing helped numerous friends as well. I religiously take a formulation from NOW Foods called Menopause Support and I haven't had a hot flash since. I think you might be having that problem, even though you have been through some early Menopause. I went through that, too. I started having hot flashes in my early 30s. I'm still dealing with Menopause issues. I keep thinking WHY in the world is this crap not over? Lol It also causes anxiety/panic attacks but that formula I take minimizes that and helps with sleep. I still have to take several prescription meds since the demyelination of MS exacerbates the issues.

I hope you get some relief from the restless body syndrome because that can make you feel like you are going to lose your mind, and relief for the other things. Maybe some calming herbs might help with that and the anxiety. Just remember it takes more time and patience to get results with herbs and other nutrients. I take chelated magnesium glycinate which relaxes you and really helps with sleep. I have had a lifelong insomnia problem and the magnesium has been the best thing. It also helps the restlessness. Tons of my friends have had near miraculous results for anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain and all kinds of things with CBD Oil. We all take the one from Hempworx because of the quality. It's THC free and legal in 50 states and numerous countries. Some people benefit from the brands that do have THC but that depends on what is legal where you live.

I truly hope you feel better soon.

Hi Bonbon,

Are you still taking Citalopram? Three months ago you mentioned you unfortunately had a really bad time with sertraline and went on to citalopram. Both of these medications are best avoided if suffering from RLS as symptoms often get much worse. rls-uk.org/treatment/ A list of some of the medications to avoid if possible are included in this link.

I believe Wellbutrin (not available in the UK) and Trazodone do not generally worsen RLS. Mirtazapine (Remeron) will worsen RLS for a small minority but not everyone.
