Much respect

I have been tapering off of mirapex for the last 4 weeks or so I am now totally off of it after being on 2-3 Mg for 8 years.

Never ever in my life have I experienced such pain and loneliness and physical exhaustion.

For those of you who actually survived this assembly want to give you a hug

Fair play to you! When you didn't come back after your last post, I reckoned you had given up.

Great job finishing it off.

I hope everything goes well for you here on out.

Well done for getting through it and welcome to the survivors’ club.

The memory of how traumatic it was fades with time thankfully.

Hope you’re managing to get some sleep.

Congratulations! To people successfully off Mirapex - are you off all meds? No symptoms? I’m wondering what RLS really is, because I finally did so much better with CBD/THC, got down to one Mirapex/day; am now on vacation with no CBD/THC and though it would be horrible but I have almost NO symptoms. Yesterday I was standing out in the rain waiting for an event for over 2 hours, and when I got home and showered (to warm up from the chill that set in) I had symptoms, but that’s it for a week! We’ll see what happens, but what does it mean about RLS? Many of us seem to get off Mirapex - does everyone start something else? Does it go away or become manageable without meds? I know it will be different for different people - but any stories of how “Post Mirapex” life goes would be appreciated.

You poor thing, damn this syndrome, it really messes with your head, my Doc is trying to wean me off Clonazepam, it gives me some relief but it is not infallible, still get bad nights she has given mePregabalin to go up on and coming down on the Clonazepam, not sure what is going to happen.

I did take Pramipexole slept all night every night for nine months then hey ho, off went my legs again, augmentation set in, get just as fed up and peed off as you do, please do not despair. I have found that cold feet helps. Sending support.
