Has anyone been prescribed procyclidine

It’s commonly given for side effects of psychotropic drugs which cause akathesia

I’d be interested in any information

Seems to be variable in reactions. You'll just have to see how well it works for you personally.

All the very best.

Looked into it but the results weren't much good, like everything else it seems for RLS - try and see.

Hello kennetti

yes, several years ago I tried benztropine/cogentin for RSL but unfortunately it made absolutely no difference at all to the severity or frequency of symptoms.

I understand that the mechanism for restlessness related to psychotropic drugs is completely different from the mechanism and cause related to RLS so though it can feel similar, Procyclidine which helps counteract this psychotropic side effect doesn;t do anything for RLS. I've watched the poor folk with the psychotropic side effect. It can be relentless and also doesn't have a variation during the course of the day. I wish it worked but I don't think it does.
