Try a ‘Pet Cooling Mat’! Approx £8-£10

I have relatively mild RLS but I also have nerve damage caused by chemotherapy which makes my feet feel like they are roasting inside. I find that if I go straight to bed as soon as it starts then I am likely to get a reasonable night’s sleep, but I also have another suggestion that may help others with RLS/‘roasting’ feet.......

I bought a ‘Pet Cooling Mat’ for my dog. He didn’t like it but it’s great for me! It is about the size of a doormat, but what is really great it doesn’t require being put in the fridge or freezer! The cooling is triggered by pressure, eg legs, which draws away the heat and the jumpiness. I have two and when my legs/ feet are really bad, I have one under and one over them. Once my legs have cooled down, I take the mats out, but please note they will reactivate over and over again! So much better than a water bottle filled with cold water!

I hope some of you will find this helpful.
