I have been on Madopar 13-14 years, admittedly I have been reducing down to a ¼ of my original dosage. I also take Sifrol (Mirapex) and have been taking it for approx 6/7 years. Is augmentation a forgone conclusion? I mean, is it inevitable that I am going to get it?

Yes.
I hate to say either way because who knows?
Madlegs, are you absolutely sure the answer is yes???
not all people augment IF THEY KEEP THE DOSE LOW and do not keep upping it. When your dose gets too high that is when you augment. I know people who augmented in 3 months and people who have taken dopamine meds for 2 decades, so the answer really is "who knows?"
